Terms of Service

Effective September 24, 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and Look Alive Technologies Inc. (“Look Alive”, “we”, “us”), a company based in Ontario, Canada. They cover your use of the Look Alive app and shoplookalive.com (the “service”). You accept these Terms by creating an account, setting up a social profile, or otherwise using the service. If you don’t agree, don’t use Look Alive.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Who can use Look Alive

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use Look Alive only with the permission of a parent or guardian. That parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on your behalf. In Quebec, users under 14 also need their consent for us to collect their personal information. You may not use Look Alive if we have previously banned you.

Your account

Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us right away if you think someone has accessed your account. Your account is for you alone. Don’t share or sell it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Recommendations and shopping

Recommendations are automated guesses about what you might like. Product details, prices, availability and sizes come from retailers and product partners and can change or be wrong. Check the retailer’s listing before you buy.

Look Alive doesn’t sell the products shown. Purchases happen on the retailer’s site. The retailer is responsible for payment, delivery, returns and customer service. Some links are provided through affiliate or product-data partners, and we may earn a commission when you buy. Brand names and logos belong to their owners. Showing them doesn’t mean a brand endorses or partners with Look Alive unless we say so.

Photos, try-on and AI features

Some features use automated systems, including third-party AI providers described in our Privacy Policy, to analyze your photos and generate images. Results can be inaccurate. Try-on previews illustrate style and don’t guarantee fit, size, colour or appearance.

Use try-on only with a photo of yourself. Don’t try to generate images that are sexual, that depict a minor, that are meant to deceive, or that harass or impersonate anyone.

Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, posts, captions, comparisons and other content you add (“your content”). You must have all the rights and permissions your content needs, including permission from anyone who appears in it.

You give Look Alive a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, adapt and display your content, to the extent needed to run the service. Adapting covers things like resizing and cropping. The licence also lets us show your content to the audience you choose and have our service providers process it for the features you use. We won’t use your content in advertising without your permission.

The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, with three exceptions:

• Copies may remain in backups until they’re overwritten.
• We may keep content where the law requires us to or to handle a report or dispute.
• Other people may still have content they already saved or shared outside Look Alive.

Community rules

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Don’t post, upload or send anything that:

• contains nudity, sexual content, or content that sexualizes minors in any way;
• harasses, bullies, threatens, shames or intimidates anyone;
• promotes hate or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation or age;
• shows or encourages violence, self-harm, eating disorders, or dangerous or illegal activity;
• impersonates someone, or misleads people about who you are;
• shares someone’s private information or images without their permission;
• infringes copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• is spam, a scam, or unauthorized advertising.

Also don’t:

• use bots or scrapers;
• create accounts to get around a block or a ban;
• interfere with or try to bypass the service’s security;
• reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it.

Reporting, blocking and enforcement

You can report a post or profile, or block an account, from the menu on that post or profile. Blocked accounts can’t see your profile or posts, and you won’t see theirs.

We may use automated tools and human review to find content that breaks these Terms. We review reports and aim to act within 24 hours.

We may take any of these steps, without notice, if content or behaviour breaks these Terms or puts people at risk:

• remove content;
• limit features;
• suspend or permanently remove an account;
• report it to the authorities.

If you think we made a mistake, email support@shoplookalive.com and we will take another look.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on Look Alive infringes your copyright, email support@shoplookalive.com with:

• your contact details;
• a description of the work;
• a link to the content;
• a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorized;
• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner;
• your signature.

We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Our service

Look Alive, including the app, its design and our software, belongs to us and our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own non-commercial use, following these Terms. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.

Look Alive is currently free and has no in-app purchases. We may change, add or remove features, and we may suspend or end the service. Where a change significantly affects you, we will try to give reasonable notice.

Other sites and services

Look Alive links to retailers and other sites we don’t control. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we aren’t responsible for their products, content or practices.

Ending your use

You can stop using Look Alive at any time. You can delete your account under Profile → Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, if needed to prevent harm, or if the law requires it. Any sections of these Terms that are meant to continue after your account ends will continue.

Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Look Alive useful and available. However, the service and its results are provided “as is” and “as available”, and we can’t promise they will always be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties. Examples include merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Look Alive isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to CAD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that can’t be excluded or limited by law. Nothing in these Terms affects rights you have under consumer protection laws that can’t be waived by contract. That includes the laws of Quebec and of the U.S. state where you live.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of Ontario. This doesn’t remove any right you have to bring a claim where you live, or to have your local consumer protection laws apply. Please contact us first; most concerns can be resolved quickly.

Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded Look Alive from Apple’s App Store, these terms also apply:

• These Terms are between you and Look Alive, not Apple. Look Alive, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
• Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store’s Usage Rules.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund any purchase price you paid for the app, which is currently nothing. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• Look Alive, not Apple, is responsible for any claims about the app. This includes product liability claims, claims that the app doesn’t meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
• Look Alive, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging any claim that the app infringes someone’s intellectual property.
• You confirm that you aren’t located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you aren’t on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Once you accept them, Apple may enforce them against you.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Look Alive changes. We will post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using Look Alive after the change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
