how it works

  1. get the app and type your school’s code when it asks how you heard about us. a club’s code works too

  2. save 3 things you’d actually wear. that’s when you count

  3. on nov 15 the top 3 schools split 20 sprees of $1,000: 10 for 1st, 6 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd. any other school with over 250 people gets 1 too

  4. around nov 16 we pick the winners at random from each school and message them

  5. clubs get their own prizes: $100 every week to whoever brings in the most people, and $1,000 to the top club overall

    Contest and sponsor.

    This contest, “$20k in clothes”, is run by Look Alive Technologies Inc. (“Look Alive”). This contest isn’t sponsored, endorsed or run by Apple, Instagram, TikTok or any school.

  2. 2

    Dates.

    The contest runs from Oct 21, 2026 at 12:00am ET to Nov 15, 2026 at 11:59pm ET (the “Contest Period”). Weekly periods run Monday 12:00am ET to Sunday 11:59pm ET.

    Who can enter.

    Legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec), 18 or older, who are students at a college or university in Canada (excluding Quebec) (a “School”). Look Alive employees and their households can’t enter.

    How you count for your School.

    • You count when, during the Contest Period, you create a Look Alive account, enter your School’s code or a code from a club at your School during setup, and save at least 3 items.
    • Each person counts once, for one School.
    • People who joined with a school or club code between Oct 13 and Oct 20, 2026 (before the start, including under the Club Cup) count for that School from the start.
    • Accounts that look automated, duplicated or fraudulent don’t count. Look Alive may disqualify anyone, or any club, that tries to inflate a count.

    No purchase necessary.

    Look Alive is free. To count without downloading the app, email contests@shoplookalive.com with your name, your School and its code before the contest ends. Each person can count once in total, whichever way they enter.

    Prizes.

    • Shopping sprees: 20 sprees of CA$1,000 each, plus bonus sprees. Each spree is a Look Alive purchase of items the winner chooses from the app, up to CA$1,000.
      • Top 3 Schools: at the end of the Contest Period, the School with the most counted members wins 10 sprees, second place wins 6, and third place wins 4.
      • Bonus: every other School with more than 250 counted members wins 1 bonus spree.
    • Who wins them: each School’s sprees go to its counted members, chosen by random draw on or about Nov 16, 2026. Your chance depends on your School’s place and how many people count for it.
    • Weekly prizes: CA$100 to the club whose code brought in the most counted members in each weekly period ending Oct 25, Nov 1, Nov 8 and Nov 15. The first period runs Oct 21–25. The club’s executive receives it for the club.
    • Grand club prize: CA$1,000 to the club whose code brought in the most counted members over the whole Contest Period, at any School. It’s paid to the club’s executive, for the club.
    • The Club Cup’s weekly prize for Oct 13–18 is still awarded under the Club Cup rules.
    • Prizes aren’t transferable, and there’s no cash substitute for the sprees. Ties are broken by whichever School, or club, reached its total first.

    Winners.

    Look Alive confirms counts from its records and contacts winners by the phone number or email on their account within 3 days of the draw. A winner has 7 days to reply, or their spree goes to another drawn member of the same School. Each winner must correctly answer a skill-testing math question, show they’re a current student at the winning School (for example, a student card), and accept the prize under these rules.

    Publicity.

    With a winner’s permission, Look Alive may share their first name and School on its accounts. With a club’s permission, Look Alive may share its name and standing.

    Privacy.

    Entry information is used only to run the contest, under the Look Alive privacy policy.

  10. 10

    General.

    Look Alive may cancel or change the contest if it can’t run as planned, and will post any change here. Questions: contests@shoplookalive.com.
